I enjoyed watching Britt-Marie Was Here 🎥:
The plot follows the titular protagonist Britt-Marie, a 63-year-old homemaker … who leaves her cheating husband of 40 years and reluctantly takes on a job as a youth soccer coach in the remote town of Borg.

Well, at least one of us is asleep at 1.30 a.m. 🐶
Oh 1.30 a.m. I’m getting to know you all too well. 🥱

I'd completely forgotten about this almost 2 minute video: Rosario Procession, Santiago de Compostela, Spain, Sunday 13 September 2015.
I'm moving 2 Publii sites to a single Micro.Blog site via Mars Edit
I tried Publii static site builder for over a year. Now I’m moving two sites (what a mistake!) to a single site on Micro.Blog, which means manually transferring ~350 posts. Thank heaven for MarsEdit (a key reason I’m moving).

Then I drag in the images and add alt text, replacing them from the original post. I also adjust the date on the post to reflect the original published date and time.

In future I’ll enjoy the enormously greater flexibility and utility of Mars Edit for new posts and for working with existing posts.
I’m also looking forward to the much faster and smoother publishing process with Micro.Blog, and, once I upgrade my subscription, the ability to include the handful of short videos I have each year, and the ability to send posts by email.
Plus I get to support a superb service that’s proven itself with me for my personal blog for more than 5 years now.
Only another 120 posts to go…
This Ring-Necked Dove was totally unfazed when Sasha and I walked past less than 2 metres away. They’re so friendly. 🐶 🐦
Now I understand why professionals have to stabilise their videos!
I was enthralled by the sample: this was an immediate buy and a fantastic read. You’re Welcome, Universe by Whitney Gardner. 📚
Themes of identity, friendships and finding a place in the world, all while being Deaf.
Highly recommended.

Jana DeLeon somehow manages to keep her Miss Fortune books fresh and interesting. Clue Krewe (Miss Fortune Mysteries Book 24) was another very enjoyable read and a great adventure with Fortune, Gertie and Ida, while not forgoing explosions and chaos. 📚

Hmmm, after wondering what had gone so wrong that everything Micro.Blog was down I tried Down for Everyone or Just Me which said it was just me. Switched my location with Unlocator away from my own ISP and behold: everything Micro.Blog is working just fine. Whew.
This is one of my favourite trees around here — a neighbour’s tī kōuka | cabbage tree on a slightly misty morning. 🌴

A wee shake just to keep us on our toes. 〰️
M4.6, 46 Km deep.
Update: later settled at M4.8, 28 Km deep.

Dja reckon? Gonna rain?
Cool! 9 minute video from Tom Scott: This is “impossible”, but New Zealand is trying anyway.:
common wisdom is that, once an invasive species is truly established, it can’t be eradicated — but the team from Predator Free Wellington think they can do just that.
This is one of the Spinifex plants volunteers put in 4 months ago on a severely eroded part of our beach. The weather’s been perfect for plant growth, warm, wet, warm, wet etc. So pleasing to see such growth.

This mama pheasant was guarding a bevy of her babies. She stood her ground for a long time. 🐦

Another photo from times gone by. 20 September 2015, a suit of armour in the hotel at Santa Cruz de Mudela. In the Region of La Mancha, this is half way between Granada and Madrid.

Once I was used to the noirish language I enjoyed the adventure of Tropical Punch (Bubbles in Space Book 1) by S.C. Jensen. 📚
Does she like her job? No. Is she good at it? Also no. She can’t afford to be too good. The last time … cost her a job, a limb, and almost her life.

Excellent 5 minute linguistics video: Do New Zealand and Northern England have the same vowels?!
And another: Gaudi Cathedral, Barcelona, Sanctus Sanctus Sanctus.
