I really enjoyed Juniper 🎬 :

a self-destructive teenager is … asked to look after his feisty alcoholic grandmother … the crazy time they spend together turns his life around.

There are special bars across our footbridge designed to stop motorbikes from getting onto the bridge. What they actually do is make it very hard for human beings to get on the bridge, especially those who have dogs on leads, kids, wheelchairs, mobility issues, pushchairs…

This test of @manton’s script: Micro.blog via AppleScript has worked well. 😀 Thanks Manton.

Until this year we always said “If Oshi won’t eat, we know there’s a problem”. 🐶 This year it’s been increasingly difficult to get him to eat his biscuits, especially in the morning. We’ve tried various brands and gravies. As of today I know he will eat Nood chicken pouches. 😌

Today I was looking at the Coastal Risk Screening Tool and suddenly recalled seeing the tsunami siren in Niue. That whole coral island is at least 25 metres above sea level.

This grew on me: The Rachel Prince Mystery Series: Books 1–3 by Dawn Brookes 📚

The language is kind of prissy, but I got used to it — or perhaps it eased as the books went on.

It was too hot for all of us by the time I took the dogs to the beach this morning. But boy it was a stunning day!

We really enjoyed The Starling 🎬

As if Lilly’s troubles weren’t bad enough, a starling whose nest is in a tree in her backyard begins to harass and attack her and she becomes obsessed with stopping it.

With a barely perceptible easterly this morning our West Coast sea had almost no waves at all. So still and quiet!

I love my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I was worried it would be too large, but it feels great in the hand and the camera is performing nicely. The blue is paler than I imagined.

I also love my Apple Watch Series 7: nice big easy to read face and the touch seems easier. Beautiful blue.
