I love simplicity and silence. I enjoy taking photos of birds. I live at Waikawa Beach in New Zealand, and strive to be an actively decent human being. After the near approach of Chinese warships recently I was inspired to try learning Mandarin.
After watching some introductory videos and signing up for an inexpensive (with coupon) Udemy course I'm now also going to sign up to the free Mandarin Blueprint Challenge.

Omar 加油! jiā yóu. Literally “add oil” and can be used as a sort of “come on”, “you can do this” motivational phrase. Very multipurpose!
