But in amongst the [TV] industry's slow crumble, is a beacon of hope - The Brokenwood Mysteries, which premiered on Prime TV 10 years ago before moving to TV1, and is now screened in 150 countries. Filming for season 11 is now underway.
So glad there's another season on its way.
💬 John Philpin LOVE Brokenwood. Acorn has been promoting Season 10 for ever - but down here for whatever reason - not able to get it. And then someone said - have you tried TVNZ+ and I hadn't, so I did and just finished episode 4.
When I get to the end it will be time to publish a review - 10 seasons overdue!

Anne Sturdivant I know, I'm just teasing. Have you watched all the seasons so far? I'm missing Jared Morehu who seems to have just disappeared, and was previously involved in so many cases.
Miraz Jordan @anniegreens I knew that. 😆 Other characters have also disappeared or appeared infrequently. It's quite possible that those actors have found other roles or moved overseas. Aotearoa is a very small country and many people need to go overseas to find opportunities, especially in a career like acting.
💬 John Philpin @anniegreens he was the best - 3 series and gone except a couple of guest parts .. there’s always someone in that role tho lately Frodo is assuming more and more of the everywhere role - but there is another .. but none as good .. to me a lot to do with that quiet non assuming accent.
