It’s just before 6am and a chilly 7C as I take Sasha for her walk. Everything’s dark. There are stars in the clear sky, washed out by a very bright half moon. I can make out a little of the Milky Way below the Southern Cross.
There’s no wind. It’s silent — too early for the birds. As I round the corner though I can hear the sea nearby.
A beautiful way to start the day.

As much as I have been enjoying your bird photos, I think I might like this word photo even more. Lovely!

I love the early morning sky with the stars still visible. Watching as the sun slowly comes up and they gradually fade from view. To enjoy and appreciate in those moments that we live on this amazing planet with our own star and to feel the connection to the larger cosmos. To bridge the intellectual knowing and the emotional feeling that we truly are of the universe.

@Denny I was so lucky Sasha dragged me out a full hour or more before sunrise!

I love walking early in the morning. Have to consider this again - except that there are stray dogs in our area. sheesh!
