Having trouble with my posts taking ages to show up on the timeline — for example, one from 2022-01-28 9:13 am hasn’t shown up while other folks posts at 09:33, 09:36, 09:43 and the like have. Been going on for several days now whether I post via web or Mars Edit. @help any fix?

Comparing your blog and the timeline, looks like everything is there now? I'll take a look at it, but let me know if it happens again.

@help It did get there but it seemed like posting a second item triggered the first to appear on the timeline about 45 minutes after it was posted. Then I edited the second to see if that would trigger that one to appear. Now, BTW my timeline (web) shows this message in red at the top of the page: "Error publishing your microblog: fatal error: runtime: out of memory runtime stack: runtime.throw(0xf93880, 0x16) /usr/lib/go-1.11/... View logs". Can I get rid of that somehow?

Sorry about that. Yes, if you edit and re-save a post that should clear the error.

@help It's 29-Jan-22 and now 0905. At 0803 I published a post via the web interface. It still hasn't appeared in the timeline. It does appear on my blog. I really don't want to have to go in and edit every single post I make so it can appear on the timeline. I enjoy the timeline community; when my posts fail to appear there in a timely manner (within maybe 10 minutes max) it feels quite exclusive and annoying. I'm not editing that post from 0803 — I want to a] see if it ever turns up and b] let you see and investigate what's going on.

Thanks for the details. I looked at the feed and I can see how it might get stuck. I'm not sure why it happened, but I can work around it.

@help Thanks. Just checked again at 0930 and I can see it's appeared.

@help The problem persists. I posted at 0639 today and at 0705 it still has not appeared. What causes this problem? How can this problem be fixed permanently? How many other people are affected? Are there posts from people I follow that similarly don't make it to the timeline before it's gone way past the scroll?

I rolled out a potential fix for this today, but might have been after you already posted. I don't know because this never happens to me. By the way, what app are you posting with?

When I got up this morning I scrolled back through my timeline and saw that my post that was not up yesterday was now on the timeline, at the time that I posted it, but it must have appeared there some time during the night? I haven’t posted anything since, apart from replies, so I do not know if the issue persists for me? // @help

@help Great! It's always either via the web interface in Safari Mac or via MarsEdit. The problem has been happening whichever I use. I'll now go and edit to change publication time and see if it appears.

@JMaxB I doubt it would be the case that all timeline posts are moderated — maybe you're thinking of Discover which is curated as far as I know. I had one post sometime last year that might have (erroneously) tripped a content filter but I can live with that.

@jmaxb I think that it is only the Discover section that is moderated, but people on Micro.Blog are very civil, so it might seem moderated.

@help Well, the post I just linked to as not showing up, just showed up, in the timeline at the time I posted it, and it just showed up on Twitter as well.

@richnewman I'm making a couple more improvements to this that will roll out tomorrow. Hopefully that'll fix it for good.
