I have a huge job ahead of me over the next unknown amount of time. I’ve been very poor at labelling the photos in my Apple Photos.app collection. I’ve now set up a Smart Album, just for last year to start with, and will work away on it a few images at a time. 📷
Miraz Jordan @Pilchuck Late last year I was looking for photos of 'things' I knew I had — eg the south track to the beach or certain kinds of birds. Ended up scrolling endlessly to eye photos when various searches etc failed because I have huge holes in my labelling.
Cheri I should do the same with my photo folders. It's easier to tackle a bit at a time! Thanks for the reminder. :)
Pratik I need to do this too. Thanks for the reminder to set up a Smart Album. BTW why not iPhone photos?
Miraz Jordan @Cheri 😀 I'm finding it's good to do a few when the brain's otherwise numb. It's also something I can do when I have 5 minutes 'dead' time between things. I have no expectation of doing any particular number or doing it by a particular date, just that I'll keep doing it, a bit at a time.
Miraz Jordan @pratik I take a selfie every day. iPhone photos with the back camera are included, but front camera is excluded. I don't need to label the selfies. 😀 I also had to exclude a few more front camera options.
