In the last 2 weeks we’ve had almost 200 mm rain (over 7 inches), and variously heat, high winds from several quarters, still days, cool grey days. Yesterday’s beach showed the effects: a lot of driftwood, and interestingly sculpted shore by the river mouth.

@cliffordbeshers It doesn't often happen like that so glad to catch it. Last time I took photos a few years ago the Halide app failed to save them, leading me to remove Halide from my phone forever.

@rom I used to use Halide all the time then it failed to save a few times. I emailed Support after the first and after the second but they just didn't seem interested. After that third time, with photos I couldn't easily take again, I just deleted it forever.

Those are interesting formations! That sucks that Halide refused to save your pictures last time – not sure why Support wouldn't have taken that seriously as a problem, because you'd think that'd be the #1 requirement for any camera app. Still, I'm glad you caught them this time 😊

@jayeless These days I stick to the camera app on my phone and it does the job just fine. 😀

hmm. sorry to hear that you lost those moments. still ole reliable stock camera app for me. Halide is for those that require setting up and not instantaneous moments, I guess.

@patrickT Cool, eh! But they seldom form. Not sure what exact combo of wind, tide and river are required for them.

the natural things that occur on this planet never ceases to amaze me.
