On my brisk walk today I spotted this impressive ‘beach whare’. I now realise another angle would have made a better photo. Whare (pronounced roughly far-ry) is the Māori word for house or shelter.

@V_ Hmm, maybe 1 to 2 metres on each side… Not very big really. It'd be a cosy spot for kids at the beach or a parent watching a kid play.

its bigger than I assumes, looks like a cozy place to sleep in :-) And the "gras" behind it needs to be huge in this case!

@V_ Ah, yes. The plants behind it are on a small bank and are called toitoi. The plants are taller than me.
