What I currently miss most from my 2016 MacBook Pro: using my fingerprint to unlock 1Password. I’m so sick of typing the unlock password, and it’s only been 2 days.
Jason Becker this is one of those things Apple Watch wearers really get help on, since I can just double tap my watch now.
Miraz Jordan @jsonbecker I wear an Apple Watch. I tried that on my 2016 MacBook Pro but preferred fingerprint. On this 2012 running 10.15.7 maybe it's not available, or maybe I just haven't set things up enough yet. This machine is just a stop-gap until the M1 I've ordered arrives in a few weeks.
Jason Becker yeah make sense-- because I'm 98% of the time at a desk with my laptop closed using an external keyboard and monitor, that Watch feature is a huge help.
Miraz Jordan @jsonbecker I explored and was underway when I found it requires “MacBook Pro introduced in late 2013 or later”. I'm using a 2012 MacBook Pro. 😒
