Whew, with visitors arriving shortly, my room has had its most thorough clean in ages. I even pulled furniture out to vacuum and wet mop behind. And I cleaned the insides of the windows! (Outsides are high and tricky.) Plus all my usual junk has been put away. Quite nice really.
Jessica Smith I think those are the main times our place gets a good tidy, too – and then we're in for months of not being able to find random things because I don't know which cupboard Viv stashed them into and he doesn't remember… 😂
Miraz Jordan @jayeless Ohhh, yes! Some of my filing system is: right-hand end of the chest of drawers, or behind the pile of (whatever). Ours is a very small house: two bedrooms and a total of 68 square metres so not many places to store stuff.
Jean MacDonald Having had no visitors in 10 months means... I’m not ready for any visitors. Holiday gatherings and occasional overnight guests definitely kept things in check around here.
Miraz Jordan @jean We haven’t had any visitors to stay for ages. It was a bit of a shock to the system. I guess Zoom doesn’t have the same impetus to clean and tidy.
