I feel that. As a technical writer I try very hard to avoid such tautologies. That's just lazy writing.

@jidabug I'm finding a load of trail guides at the moment but am utterly frustrated as they all describe the trails. I have to read carefully to find it'll be too hard for me, too long, needs a trail bike etc etc etc. I want to say: ‘show me trails that meet these criteria’….

I like trail guides that start with a summary of type, length, and terrain/difficulty. I have several books like that for NW trails. Sadly, I don’t have any for NZ to recommend.
