We drove to Wellington yesterday. Just north of Peka Peka traffic slowed and we passed several each of cop cars, ambulances and fire engines. It looked like a car had rolled and at least one person was being cut out. Later a helicopter came apparently. It was all very sobering.

@gpittman Aotearoa New Zealand is very popular with Americans. 😀 I hope he's enjoying it. I'd had enough of traffic, parking issues and scads of people after a couple of hours and was glad to come home.

@gpittman Aaand … corgi puppy? (https://micro.blog/gpittman/9852735) photos or it's not true. 😀 We love dog photos on Micro.Blog…

@yorrike Yeah, northbound looked awful. I think it had not long happened when we went by — we were in the Ōtaki dog park 15 minutes before when a cop car went racing by with lights going. I couldn't see how the car had managed to roll.

Got me remembering - @becky was working on a game called “Corgi Corral” a while back. Not sure if it is finished yet…

It looked like they’d hit the median barrier (avoiding a head-on collision no doubt, the barrier was wrecked in many places), and that impact had caused the car to roll.
