I absolutely adore the massive vocabulary of the English language. I love words in general. So sometimes a word in a book trips me up. Twice an author referred to ‘clouds scuttling’ across the sky. Took a bit of effort to dredge from my brain: scudding is the word she wanted.
Miraz Jordan @amit I don’t think so. It felt off. Crabs scuttle. People can too if they’re maybe trying to hurry while remaining unnoticed or are afraid. Clouds scud. When I get home I’ll look them up.

Amit Gawande Pretty interesting. I was reading it as the clouds rushing away out of view through the sky. But maybe that use sounds a bit odd?
