I’ve been part of only a very few Zoom calls and everyone else knows more than me about using Zoom. That’s why I’m reading Take Control of Zoom by Glenn Fleishman.
will take you from your current level of Zoom knowledge to full expertise through task-based, bite-sized chunks.

Not a big Zoom fan (more due to privacy concerns than the function of the software itself), but have to use it for certain professional purposes, alas. Also have to use just about every other big-name video platform (Webex, GoToMeeting, MS Teams...). The all come up short in my line of work, but I'm probably particular in part because I have to have good visual connection, otherwise it can be an exercise in frustration.

@philly I'm lucky that I don’t have any reason beyond group calls with friends to use such software. I guess you’ll know all the apps you use pretty well by now.

That's good! I'm learning to make do; mostly I have to see how the hosts arrange thing, I don't seem to have much say just yet, but I'm learning my around things. Usually my biggest challenge is the video size when screen sharing, coupled with the shift in video depending on who is speaking. Those who arrange meetings control that, and that can limit how much I'm able to work around it, which adds some to the challenge.
