Our Māori language teacher shared this delightful sentiment:
Kia hora te marino, kia whakapapa pounamu te moana, kia tere te kārohirohi i mua i tōu huarahi.
May the calm be widespread, May the ocean glisten as greenstone, May the shimmer of light ever dance across your pathway.

shimmer of light dance across your pathway.
How beautifully evocative. I can’t even imagine much more beautiful it is in Maori.

@pratik (Did you not see you could listen to reciting it? Or did you mean it in a different sense?)

I didn’t recognize your voice until the English version, but as you’re the only person I’ve ever heard speak Te Reo Māori, I have no idea if you sounded like an English person mangling it or not ;-)

@pratik I thought maybe something along those lines was what you meant, but I wasn’t sure (particularly as it was a video with no poster frame, which might make it easier to miss?) :-)
