Crazy: I have only 10% free space on iCloud and thought I might upgrade. The only upgrade choice is from my current 200GB to 2TB. The price goes from $5 per month to $17. How about smaller upgrade steps, Apple? That’s way too big a step! And too much $$$$ for a limited budget.

That's terrible. I still can't understand why Apple is so stingy with their storage plans. They keep getting mocked for their storage limitations and they fail to recognize it is a problem. Pathetic.

That is a crazy jump. Prices must vary a lot across the regions. I'm paying £2.49 for the 200GB and the 2TB tier is £6.99 which is not too bad at all.

Yeah, wow that too much, like @stefp said prices must be regional or by country. I just up graded mine to 2tb and it was basically 10.00 a month. If it had been $17 I am not sure I would have done it.

@klandwehr @stefp The NZ price is about the same as the US price — exchange rates sort that out. Similarly, the official page shows plans all over the world seem to be comparable. My biggest complaint is that given my need to spend very carefully, the step up is too big. I need a 1TB plan for around $10.

@AlanRalph Agreed. They should be encouraging the new users with a bigger free plan.

@pratik Photos make up by far the bulk of my storage and I take lots of photos these days. With less than 20GB free I'll soon have to do something. With limited income it becomes a stress factor for me.
