Today I learned the woman who wrote Mary Poppins was born and raised in Australia: P.L Travers — the girl who dreamt up Mary Poppins.
She also stood up to Walt Disney about how the movie would be done and what the character would be like. 👍 17 minute audio story.

Rosemary Orchard I really enjoyed Saving Mr. Banks which covers much of the same content – no idea how much of that is true, but it’s definitely interesting!
