In Aotearoa New Zealand now it seems surreal to keep on with distancing, sanitiser etc, because:
7th day in a row, no new cases of COVID-19 in NZ.
combined total confirmed and probable cases: 1,504.
recovered cases: 1,481. One case is still active.
Total deaths: 22. 🦠
Ive lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for ~57 years and never heard of “Moving Day” till now. Mind you, when I was a kid NZ had 60 million sheep and 3 million people. 🐄
when farmers…pack up households, animals … and move to new farms for the start of the new dairy season, June 1.
Warehouse 13 2009–2014 was a fun show about retrieving and storing artifacts with dangerous powers, like Ivan Pavlov’s bell. Included Jaime Murray as Helena G. Wells, and even Kate Mulgrew. Several excellent female characters — Myka, Leena, Claudia, Mrs Frederic. 📺
Ohhh, Im not even half way through Legends of Tomorrow 514 and may not be able to finish because Im laughing too hard. Now the writers have finally realised this isnt Constantine were getting some great scripts again. Trapped in TV Shows, like Friends, Star Trek, Downton Abbey…
I’ve decided my own June challege — I’ve just decided to have a No-Apostrophe June (starting now). I believe the apostrophe is redundant and should go! Ill accept autocorrect apostrophes though as itd be too much hassle not to. Hmmm, there doesn’t seem to be an emoji… 💭 ?
Lovely: Out a 10 minute short movie on Disney+. 🍿🌈
a young gay man who has not yet come out to his parents unexpectedly has his mind magically swapped with his dog’s.
It was a stunning morning, so my neighbour and I drove our electric bikes to Peka Peka and rode 16Km on the shared track beside the Kāpiti Expressway. I’ve been meaning to do that for ages. Next time we'll go further too. It was beautiful, with lots of native plants in parts.

In Star Trek: Voyager 1995–2001 Captain Kathryn Janeway leads her crew home from the Delta Quadrant. She’s not someone to go up against. Resourceful. Steely. Creative. Ably assisted by engineer B’Elanna Torres and ex-Borg Seven. The holographic Doctor is also a star. 📺
Waaaay back on 29 February I ordered this bike bag from AliExpress. Then Covid-19 happened. Tracking gave weird info. Today, 3 months later it finally turned up. Meanwhile I thought it was lost and ordered another from a different store. Guess a friend will get a surprise gift!

There are two of these plants in the dunes and each year I forget their name — it’s a Yucca. Last year it flowered in April, so the May flowering seems late this year.
I wish Photos on Mac would let me select a photo and then Find others the same.
The X-Rite Color Challenge and Hue Test was interesting, and I was pleased with my score of 4 (where 0 is best).
Well, I definitely enjoyed Onward, which surprised me a little. Two brothers go on a quest for magic to bring back their dead father. Nice touch with the pixie biker gang! 🍿 Good diversity too.
I’m declaring an earthquake emoji: 〰️
One of the ways to stop smaller ornaments falling off shelves in an earthquake is Museum Wax. It’s really just a soft wax. Put a small dob on the bottom of the object and then press down so it adheres to the shelf. You can easily lift the object if you need to. 〰️
We’ve been having aftershocks, most not noticeable. This 5.2 got me up though. Two tiny things fell off the shelf. 〰️
I enjoy starting my day with a Tom Scott video, like this 5 minute explainer: Ə: The Most Common Vowel in English.
