Yesterday started with an extremely delicious strawberry from the tunnelhouse.

We have wild strawberries growing in our garden — or will be, once winter is over — but none that size. 🤤 Then again, they've got more concentrated flavour to them, so a great accompaniment to jams & puddings. 😋

@alanralph Might be the variety of strawberries affects size. We had different plants one year where the fruit weren't very tasty at all.

that’s a yummy accomplishment. I’ve never managed a strawberry bigger than a knuckle

@rpmik It is a very accomplished plant. 😆 We're growing them hydroponically: the plants are in a pot of soil that sits in a saucer fed from a water tank. The water often contains nutrients.

@crossingthethreshold I have no skills. Deb's the gardener. I fill up water tanks and eat strawberries. 🤣

Ah, you have my skills!….or better said, we share the same skills. 🤣

That’s beautiful! My garden is asleep right now. The thermometer in my raised beds reads -25º C. A few more months before my strawberries wake up again!

@davoh That is very cold indeed! Luckily it never gets that cold here. Keep those strawberries warm! 😀
