After I do a lot of physical work I don't sleep well. Yesterday I moved half a dozen shovels full of shingle and gravel, spent 10 minutes cutting back flax, moved stuff, and did a bunch of random light tasks. Last night: awake for ages.
Now we've hired someone to do the hard garden work. Hooray!

I've been trying to figure out a similar correlation between the type of work that I do and my sleep patterns. I use to have no problem sleeping, and no problem sleeping anywhere. That equation does not work so well now. I'm working on it 🤔

@crossingthethreshold It seems if my body's sore and achy I just can't get comfortable. I've been wondering if I need a new bed in fact. Last year I stayed a few days with a friend who kindly gave me her bed and slept on the sofa. It was so comfy and I slept amazingly well!

I find it very helpful to apply a heat pad to parts of my body which have been active before bed. Not always practical of course but I feel I sleep better when I do it
