There is thunder rumbling round. So glad Sasha can no longer hear it (and react to it with terror).

I wonder if it is a instinctive thing, learned from experience with ancestors being hit by lightning, or if it’s just the shear force of it that catches them… ⚡️⛈️

@odd With Sasha there was one time when we lived in Wellington that there was an enormous thunderclap right above the house (a nearby tree was hit by lightning). That same year the dogs were in the car when someone behind me failed to stop at a light and smashed into us. I think those two things encouraged Sasha's terror at loud noises.

It’s quite possible that this jarred her in no small way. The detriments of age sometimes come with some positive consequences.
