I was hoping to walk a couple of 1–4 Km trails today at Egmont National Park, Te Papakura o Taranaki. However, this region’s under a Heavy Rain Warning and my plans have switched to visiting a couple of cafes and relaxing.
Matt Huyck Good choice! We went out to a hot air balloon festival this evening only to find the steamy weather here converted to thunderstorms. No balloons got off the ground and some of us got damp rushing back to the car! 😂🌧
Jessica Smith That's a shame 😔 When Viv and I visited Canberra last year, we similarly couldn't do anything nature-y because it just rained the entire time. I tell myself that it leaves us something to do next time we visit Canberra… At least you get some gorgeous views from that café!
Miraz Jordan @jayeless In the end I went and relaxed for a few hours at the very comfortable Mountain Lodge, had a big lunch and returned to my accommodation. There are no views of anything today but I'm enjoying reading and having no responsibilities. 😀
