I find recipes on the Internet then try out some of them. I’m forever converting measures of ingredients. This is useful and 🤯: Cooking Weights & measures, eg:
[English and New Zealand] flours are milled differently [so you have to change quantities of other ingredients].

Same issue with Canadian & American flours (besides the usual unit conversions required for the identically named but differently sized pints, etc.).

@the It's so interesting, isn't it, that something that on the surface would seem to be the same, can actually be so very different. Culture and geography can introduce some real quirks into things.
