I love simplicity and silence. I enjoy taking photos of birds. I live at Waikawa Beach in New Zealand, and strive to be an actively decent human being. Cook Islands to change name to remove any association with Captain Cook
The tiny Pacific nation of Cook Islands plans to change its name to drop the reference to the British explorer Captain James Cook in favour of a title that reflects its “Polynesian nature”.
Miraz Jordan @vasta This year is the 250th anniversary of Cook landing in New Zealand so he would have been around those parts at a similar time. Seems like a good time to change the name.
