Hmmm, things that are a bad idea: letting WordPress create a URL that includes an emoji. I realised just after I’d pressed Publish. Thank goodness for a .htaccess redirect.
Smokey Ardisson You might check out @johnjohnston’s Microblogging functions; he’s got one to automatically prevent/strip emoji from the URLs as part of the publishing process.

Smokey Ardisson There’s nothing inherently Micro.blog-specific about that particular emoji-stripping function (#9); it just happens to be part of his microblogging workflow, so it lives with all of those others.
